You Asked, We Listened!

We are excited to announce that next year's Vestibular Health Summit will be a case study approach with hands-on lab! It will be held in Austin, Texas on March 2 & 3, 2019 in collaboration with Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas (DCMC).

Many of you requested that the agenda include the addition of more in depth and complex case studies with a lab component.

Here's a snapshot of the Summit format:

  • The Summit will kick off on Saturday, March 2nd with an interactive case studies group discussion where we will break into groups and work through questions that appear on the shared screen and answer on our mobile phones or personal devices.
  • After lunch, we will continue with our groups into the hands-on labs. Each case study will have its own lab with specific treatment options unique to that case study.
  • On Sunday, March 3rd, we will review the previous day's answers from the case study questions: diagnosis to care plan. The Summit will wrap up with an in depth question and answer discussion.

Submit your case study today and contribute to the education of others! The program committee will select TWO of the submitted cases for presentation on Saturday morning. If selected, you will have the option of presenting the case study to the attendees or moderating your case study with the Summit programming chair. Finalists will be notified on December 14, 2018.

The 2nd Annual Vestibular Health Summit will also provide opportunities to network through social events and technical exhibits.

Again, this summit focuses on a comprehensive problem solving approach to diagnosing and treating dizziness and balance disorders. We’re going to be sharing with you these strategies and an incredible set of tools at this event. We will discuss the utilization of subjective and objective findings to formulate a working diagnosis and the most appropriate care plan as well as define treatment principles in vestibular rehabilitation. The Vestibular Health Summit will also provide opportunities to network through social events and technical exhibits.
